On April 21, Champlain College Saint-Lambert celebrated student contributions to campus life at the 2022 Student Engagement Gala.
Awards were given out to recognize students who have dedicated their time to organize events and initiatives on campus, participated in student life at the College and created a positive impact in their Champlain community.
Awards for the local Forces Avenir categories were also handed out at the event, highlighting student achievement for a number of diverse projects including Relay for Life, KPOP Triple Crown Intercollegiate Showcase and the Black Lives Allyship Mission (BLAM).
The event also marked an anniversary for student leadership initiatives at the College, with the iLead program turning 10 years old this year.

Community Builder Awards

Forces Avenir Awards (local)
Champlain’s Black Lives Allyship Mission (BLAM) group won the local Forces Avenir Award under the category of Society, Communications and Education.
French teacher Luc Lavallée was given the local Forces Avenir award recognizing a Committed Staff Member.
Student Mo Lan Zhang was given the award for Committed Student.
The Art, Literature and Culture Forces Avenir award was given to the organizers of the KPOP Triple Crown Intercollegiate Showcase.
