Cassandra Bardo – Class of 1991
Cassandra attended Champlain College Saint-Lambert from 1988-1991 and was an integral part of the Women’s Volleyball team during her time here. Cassandra was a dedicated student-athlete with a tremendous work ethic. In 1991 she was name the Women’s Volleyball Most Valuable Player. She was also named Female Athlete of the Year in her senior year (1991) and graduated in that spring.
While attaining her Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University, Cassandra played on their Women’s Volleyball team at the CIAU level for five years. She continued her dominance by being named an FQSE All-Star and by being named Concordia’s Female Athlete of the year in 1993 and 1996.
Cassandra headed to Europe and continued to both play and coach at the Division 3 level in France, combining her love for the game with a career that involved volunteering and contributing to sport in the community. She moved up to Division 2 and spent several years playing while working with a sport and leisure association. Until recently she was a practice partner for a Division 1 team in Toulouse, which she now calls home.
