PETER SWARBRICK MEMORIAL AWARD

The Peter Swarbrick Contest requirements specified a “persuasive” speech: a clear message, well supported by “logos” (researched facts and logic), “pathos” (emotional & personal appeals), and “ethos” (credibility).

The PS Committee met on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018, and debated the pros and cons of all nine speakers. Special mention goes to four candidates who captivated the audience with their personal stories and command of the stage, but the Committee felt that the most persuasive “argument” was made by Cassandra Desroches.

Congratulations to Cassandra, as the Winner of the 2018 Peter Swarbrick Award, and “hats off” to all the participants!
